Selling Your Car:
"The law requires that the title of a vehicle
must be in the name of the seller. If he/she can not be present, an
"appointment of agent" form
must be brought in by the person who is representing the
seller.
These forms are available at any secretary of state branch
or in our office.
The person on the front of
the title must sign off the title. Checks will be issued to the person on
the title only.
For no reason will we run a vehicle in someone else's name
without an appointment of agent."
You must register the
vehicle in the office for the next sale. There is a registration
fee of $30.00 that includes the Saturday and Monday sales. If
the vehicle sells there is an additional sale fee based on the
selling price.
All vehicles must be here before 5:30 pm Saturday night.
This gives potential buyers the opportunity to look the vehicle
over before buying it. If you have special radio with removable
face plate, you should drop this at the office for safe keeping.
"Any vehicle arriving after 5:30 pm
will be charged a $25.00 late fee.
After 6:00 pm no late vehicles will be permitted."
Once registered, cars must run through the auction or pay a
$250.00 penalty for missed
auction fees.
Once the auction starts, you should be at the auction block
when your vehicle is brought in. You can then give the
auctioneer the minimum you will accept for the sale of your
vehicle and any additional information you would like to have
announced. If you are not able to attend the auction you may
leave a bottom line price with the office to ensure your vehicle
is properly represented.
If your vehicle did not sell, you may pick up the title in the
office. If you wish to rerun your vehicle the following auction,
a $30.00 registration fee is due.
If cars are not re-running through the next auction, title and
car must be picked up by their following business day at 7:30
pm.
No checks will be issued on auction day. Once your vehicle
has been paid in full you will receive a check the following
business day.
We do not release keys until the vehicle has been paid in
full.
